FURTHER to the article about the Sue Ryder sign, why don't the planning chiefs try to persuade the people building new housing estates in the Chorley area to name them after local people and places instead of the dreadful Drake's Hollow and Swallows' Rose type names that are prevalent now.
I'm sure the civic society would be pleased to advise them on suitable names.
Have the planning chiefs ever been to Cuerden Hall, the Sue Ryder Home? I think not.
Name and address supplied.
