ALL-girl trio La Caj will be playing a sell-out concert this evening before heading into the recording studio to produce their debut CD.

The Bolton girls are busy touring the North-west with Elvis impersonator Mark Williamson and will play to a capacity crowd at Derby Ward Labour Club, Deane Road, tonight. Tickets for forthcoming dates are also selling well.

Cassie Butterworth, aged 14, her sister, Abby, 11, and 14-year-old Jane Shakeshaft, all from Harwood, go into Lollipop studios in Whitefield next week to record their version of Westlife's "Flying Without Wings" as well as a session in Bolton's Ionian studios which will be included on a five-track CD due out later this year.

The girls appeared on Blue Peter last autumn and their rendition of 'Da Doo Ron Ron' by the Crystals proved such a big hit on the show that a young fan wrote in requesting another glimpse of them.

Manageress of La Caj, Tracie Ross, said: "Things are going very well for the girls at the moment and they can't wait to get into the recording studio.

"The Elvis tour has been a real success and they will be over the moon if the shows sell out."

La Caj's remaining tour dates are March 3, Tonge Ward Labour Club; March 16, Horwich RMI Club; March 30, Monaco Ballroom Hindley; March 31, Abbey Hey in Gorton and May 18, Whitehouse Club in Salford.
