ONLY two games were played last weekend, both under the control of Wigan Council.
League leaders Astley Miners went ahead against Gatehouse at Gin Pit Tyldesley when Neil Parkinson converted a penalty.
Gatehouse hit back and Mark Milligan equalised from a Gary Wall cross before scoring again in the 35 minute with a tremendous volley from 25 yards out.
Both teams missed a number of chances before John Powell equalised for Miners with a header from a corner from Moss.
In the other game, King William moved into the next round of the Josey A White Trophy with an excellent victory against Britannia Inn. Newman put King William in front after 20 minutes. Butcher, Hoult and Tyler sealed the victory for King William.
