A THIEF vaulted over a shop counter to steal cash while his machete wielding accomplice stood guard during a robbery in Bury.
The men stormed into the Late Shop in Ainsworth Road at 9.10pm yesterday as a 49-year-old female store assistant was on her own.
An unknown amount of money was grabbed from the till as the man holding the knife threatened the woman. Both thieves fled on foot.
Police have released a description of one of the robbers.
He is white, with a gaunt, pale face. He was wearing a pale yellow jacket and fingerless gloves.
