THE bad weather was back to disrupt the North Bury League programme again this week with only 16 games being played.

Roach Dynamo Under 12s lost out to Walshaw Sports after twice coming from behind. Walshaw scored first through Jonathan Hazeldine, Liam Stonehouse equalised before Chris Coward restored the visitors' advantage but Stonehouse again pulled it back for Roach, before Coward hit Walshaw's winner.

Warth Fold Under 12s played host to Westbury and found themselves four down at half time.

John Wilson pulled one back in the second period, only to see Westbury score their fifth. Corey Dean made the score more respectable at the end of a good second-half performance. Westbury's goalscorers were Luke Uttley, with a hat-trick, and a brace from Ross Greenwood.

Marauders Under 12s got off to a good start against Radcliffe Juniors B when, after five minutes, they were awarded a penalty, which Robert Tomlinson accepted and tucked away easily. The lead was short-lived though and Paul Lomax equalised for Juniors to make it level at the interval.

Juniors came out a different side in the second-half and, after having put Marauders under some pressure, were awarded a spot kick themselves. Lomax stepped up to put them in the lead with his second. Shortly afterwards Chauncy Jacobs, Anthony Carter and Alex Hall were all on target for Juniors to put the game beyond Marauders, although the visitors never gave up and Joel Foulkes scored their second. David Henshall completed the scoring for Juniors.

An excellent all-round performance by both teams set up a 13-goal thriller as Seedfield Under 13s took on Radcliffe Boro C.

Seedfield burst into a three-goal lead within the first 10 minutes. Boro dropped Liam Pearson into a sweeper role to stop the floodgates opening, this seemed to stem the tide and Boro started to create a few chances themselves. Strikes from Lee Bruce pulled two back, but Seedfield still lead 4-2 at the break. In the second half Boro's Sean Porter was starting to take control in the midfield and was their main supplier for the in-form Bruce. It was Bruce who completed his hat-trick straight from the kick-off at the re-start, after he latched onto a through ball from Porter and hit an unstoppable shot from outside the area (4-3). With Boro piling on the pressure Bruce scored another two in quick succession to give the visitors the lead for the first time (4-5). Aaron Whithy got on the score sheet to make it 4-6, then Seedfield pulled a goal back to reduce the arrears (5-6). Chances were falling to both sides when Bruce took his personal tally to six (5-7). Seedfield managed to pull another goal back five minutes from time to set up a nail-biting finish (6-7). The referee brought welcome relief to everyone with the final whistle.

Marauders A under 15s travelled to Clarence and, in a close fought contest, ran out 2-1 winners. Sean Wilson put Clarence ahead on 10 minutes after some fine play. Both teams were playing some good football in bad conditions and the game could have gone either way. Ashley Houlighan levelled for Marauders A on the half-hour and that's how it stayed until nine minutes from time when Houlighan was brought down in the box and converted the resulting penalty himself to claim the points for the visitors.
