Bolton League junior teams started their indoor competition at Turton Leisure Centre.

The competition, sponsored by Cricket World (Bolton), takes place on Sundays from 1pm-3 until April 1, and is in association with the Bolton Cricket Development Committee.

This week's games involved favourites Little Lever against fellow Bolton League team Eagley. Batting first Eagley steadily amassed runs with Powers and Hardman putting on 19 runs, Burke and Corrigan adding 16 and Morris and Taylor finishing the job with 7, leaving Eagley on 242 after their 9 overs.

Little Lever had it all to do, but Rushmore and Guffogg went crashing into action, scoring 26 off the first three overs. Worden and Smith steadily added runs but with 15 to win Walkden lost four wickets in four balls thanks to the bowling of Burke, which ended Little Lever's hopes of winning.

The second game was an all Association clash between Elton and Daisy Hill, Daisy Hill batted first. Drath and Nelson putting on 20, Fletcher and Chadwick and 30 to finish on 217 off 9 overs. Elton made a steady reply and won with 221.

Next week's games are at 1pm Astley and Tyldesley v Little Hulton and 2pm Horwich v Egerton.
