A SCHOOLBOY, who was praised by firefighters for staying calm as they cut him out of a crashed car, is recovering at home.
Daniel Fisher, aged 10, was commended for not panicking while being trapped in the vehicle, after the accident with a motorbike in Warrington Road, Leigh.
The St Thomas CE Primary School pupil suffered cuts and grazes and a broken nose and had to stay overnight at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
His mother Tracy, aged 27, who was travelling as a front seat passenger in the car being driven by her father Anthony, said: "He is recovering at home now. He was very brave. I think I was the hysterical one."
Tracy suffered whiplash injuries in the collision and the motorcylist involved in the accident at 7.45pm on Friday, was also taken to hospital with minor leg, neck and back injuries.
