THANK you for publicising my Rocky Mountain bike ride for The Children's Hospitals' Appeal in the BEN on January 26, 2001.
Raising money for charities is becoming more and more difficult these days, and I would like to publicly thank the management and staff of the Savar Balti and Tandoori House in Atherton for allowing me to stage a fundraising "Curry Night" on January 22.
This was a sell out, and, through their goodwill in subsidising the evening, I was able to raise over £300 on the night. It gave 50 people an enjoyable evening -- and a chance to eat some exceptional food!
