A LACKLUSTRE Chorley side scraped to a win with a conversion difference in the scoreline.
Crossfields started well and took the play to Chorley, opening the scoring after ten minutes of play.
Top tackler Steven Mayren covered a lot of ground and most improved player Graham Davies distributed the ball well.
Chorley's try came 10 minutes into the second half from Steven Mayren and the vital conversion came from Michael Hilton.
Man of the Match Sean Andersen made elusive runs and tackled well. Chorley held on for the last 10 minutes with some good defence from Mark Davies, Martin Good and Thomas Hindle.
