POLICE investigating the death of a man at Horwich Parkway railway station have made a new appeal for information.
British Transport Police officers need to speak to a passenger who caught a late night train from the rail halt.
They believe he could have vital information to help the inquiry.
Philip Richard Mulcahy, aged 19, was discovered on tracks close to the station on December 4.
Emergency services were called after the body of Mr Mulcahy from Hilden Street, The Haulgh, Bolton, was spotted on the tracks.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death.
Today transport police appealed for a man who boarded the 23.55 train at Horwich Parkway on December 3 to come forward and help.
The man or anyone who can help the inquiry should call British Transport Police on 0800 405040.
