A PENSIONER watched in horror as two Rottweiler dogs tore a pet cat apart. The man, who does not want to be named, heard a commotion at 5.30am yesterday morning near his home in Campbell Street, Farnworth.
When he shone a torch through the window, the beam picked out the grisly sight of the two dogs savaging the black and white cat.
One dog had the dead cat in its mouth as the pair ran off.
"It's terrifying to think that such dangerous dogs were running wild at that time in the morning," said the pensioner. "The cat didn't stand a chance as both dogs tore into it." Police are investigating.
