THE Rathbone training Centre in Bolton held an open day to publicise provision for long-term unemployed people.
Guests included Bolton South-east MP Brian Iddon and Mr Shabaz Khan, manager of the Warner Village Complex at Horwich.
Three clients -- Andrew Reid (Kwik Save), Philip Curnock (Currys) and John Giles (B&Q) -- explained how the course had worked for them.
Mr Curnock said: "Without Rathbone and New Deal I would have been nowhere."
Rathbone feels that the key to success is a fully-integrated partnership involving Employment Services, training providers, employers and job seekers themselves. The organisation thanks the following local companies for supporting them in building a brighter future for their clients -- Warner Village Cinemas, ASDA, B&Q, Bolton Evening News, Moat House Hotels, Currys, Kwik Save and Body Shop Direct.
Employers interested in recruiting through the New Deal can contact John Battersby at Rathbone (01204 380792) or contact the local Employment Services Office.
A Rathbones spokesman said: "The benefits to everyone are enormous -- you could find yourself involved in the partnership- which ensures local economic growth and better prosperity for all."
