IN a thrilling encounter, played in surprisingly perfect conditions, the Panthers put up a tremendous effort against a strong Halton team and were unlucky not to snatch a draw when Danny Robinson was stopped on the line in the final play of the game.

Ryan Addison and Greg West led the way in attack, with Connor Howard and Geoff Wilson showing up well in defence. Nathan Crawford, Ryan Berry and Cameron Sharratt were a constant threat with their strong running.

Man of the match David Henderson, was awesome, scoring four tries from powerful drives.

THE Panthers had to settle for a draw in this end to end encounter.

Player of the match, Rose Taylor, led the way with some strong running, whilst top-tackler, James Tomlinson, was tireless in defence.

There were also some good tackles from Mathew Whittle and Sophie Cylok.

Elliot Hindle scored the try of the game, taking a neat off-load before threading his way through the Mayfield defence from halfway.

Other Panthers tries came from Rose Taylor, Tom Nicholson and strong running Taylor Bristow. Tom Holden was the Panthers Most Improved Player.

A GREAT come from behind win for the Panthers, who trailed by ten points early in the game.

Outstanding performances from Steven Lucas, Jamie Ellis and Alex Slater helped fire the Panthers to victory.
