I FELT I had to put pen to paper after reading 'On the Box' in the BEN on Saturday and the criticism of 'Maria Callas' in the Stars in Their Eyes grand final.
I appreciate that the writer of the article is only doing her job and I respect other people's opinions, but let her get her facts right. When 'Maria Callas' appeared back on stage after being voted the winner, she was overcome with emotion and swayed on the spot -- in fact, Matthew Kelly dashed to her side to offer support.
Do you really expect an opera singer of more mature years to behave like a teenager -- everyone isn't demonstrative!
