RADCLIFFE AC held their annual senior presentation and there were some good, consistent performers to be congratulated.

Adrian Harris has mopped up over-45 prizes at races all over the place, rivalled by Eileen Royle, who was a serious contender for the over-50 trophy whenever she raced. Mike Howard was always strong on the fells, while Sean McMyler managed to beat off Joe Nedley's challenge in the road race championship. Notably, 16-year-old Daniel Duffy was third senior man, which augurs well for the future of the club.

The President's Shield went to Terry Nortley, acknowledging his many years of commitment as a member of the old Radcliffe Harriers and as coach to the new Radcliffe AC.

The Stant Shield became full at the turn of the millennium, and it was decided that, having won it five times, Chris Mycock was entitled to keep it.
