FOUR men arrested and charged after violence following a Rugby League cup final game in Bury are to be tried at Crown Court.
The four, all from Leigh, appeared before Bury magistrates charged with affray and causing £3,000 worth of damage to the Jolly Waggoners pub in the town.
John Ward, aged 31, from Breaston Avenue, Paul Robinson aged 30, of Oakwell Grove, James Stones, aged 39, of White Street and David Higgins, aged 28, from Tennyson Avenue were charged following Leigh Rugby League side's one point defeat in the Ford Northern Premiership Final which was held at Bury's Gigg Lane ground in July.
Ward also faces a further matter of causing £400 worth of damage to a car. All four were granted bail to reappear for committal proceedings on February 6.
