I AM writing with regard to the stainless steel floor barriers surrounding the trees on Bolton Precinct.
A friend told me she had seen two people on separate occasions tripping on these barriers and falling on the floor, most probably injuring themselves. We commented on how dangerous they were.
Two days later, I was walking across the precinct with my daughter and her father when he tripped up over the barriers and ripped his trousers on the knee. He was quite shaken by the experience. I am bringing this matter to the public's attention as, in the future, somebody may fall and seriously hurt themselves. Can something not be done to make these barriers safer?
