MONTERAZE secured the George Yates Memorial Premier League Premier title with a 2-0 win over Tag Heuer, Jason Smiley notching a brace of goals.

As expected CCS Jolly Carter took the runners up spot after beating the Griffin All Stars 1-0. Griffin played superbly in an effort to stave off the threat of relegation.

It took a great goal from David Adamson in the 23rd minute to deny the All Stars a point. Burnden Wanderers went nap against Bolton Rec B, with goals by Marcus McCluskey 2, Richard Marley, Dave Taylor and Stephen Firth, Bill Courtney scoring Rec's consolation goal.

PIt's perm any two from three for the honours in Readey's First Division. Edge Tavern and Dentech are favourites, with Bolton Rec A's plight in other teams hands.

Rec A, early runaway leaders have gained just one point from their last four games, and they nearly threw that point away. Leading 2-0 with goals from Martin Grimshaw and Sean Lennon and less than two minutes left, they allowed their opponents Crew XI to snatch a draw with goals from Mike Clarkson and Ken Heyes.

They should have taken all three points, with Andrew Carr missing from the spot with the final kick of the game. Edge Tavern dominated the game against six men Dabs Direct.

Dabs worked their socks off with a backs to the wall performance, it took Edge 19 mins to break the deadlock with a fine goal from youngster Alex Blair to take those very important points.

Second placed Dentech overcame an early setback to register a 3-1 victory over Samba, goals Graham Walton, Wayne Jenkins 2.

Bolton Rec Colts 1 AFC Giro 0 -- a scrappy game decided with a late goal from John height.

PShock result of the week in the Burnden Sunday Premier Division saw a depleted Alliance Windows playing with just five men against Premier leaders Barnstoneworth United, pull of a sensational victory via a Phil Barnes goal in the 21st minute.

All the Alliance lads put the extra effort, but a special mention for stand in keeper Scott Barlow who made several excellent saves. The score shows a 2-1 win for Able Auto who took the lead early in the first half with a goal from John Rocliffe, a second midway through the second half from Marcus McCluskey suggests they were in control, but nothing could be further from the truth for their opponents York dominated the game for long spells and should have got more than the solitary goal by Peter Cooper.

Readeys 2 FC Elite 3 -- six men Readey's gave it their best shot but Elite made good use of the extra man. Scoring in the 10th, 16th and 25th mins (scorers not given) Readey's scorers Martin Grimshaw 17th min Sean Lennon 26th min. BOCA Seniors awarded the game and three points rule eleven applied.

PAfter an indifferent start to their season in the Burnden Syunjday First Division, Montserrat have taken 10 points from their last four games. This week was possibly their best performance to date, beating league leaders X Records 3-0. James Hall opened the scoring in the 12th min, and added another in the 17th, David Foy put the cream on the cake in the final minute.

The Farmers 3 All Nations 1 -- two early goals in the fourth and fifth minutes from the Farmers goal machine Ralph Heyes, put them in command. An 11th min goal from All Nations skipper James Mitcham gave them hope, but a 13th min goal from Ian Riding restored their two goal lead.

Bolton Recreation 1 Burnden Boys 5 -- The first half was very even, Burnden got of to a flying start with a well taken goal by Mazhar Khan in the first min, Farhad Khan added a second in the fourth min, the Rec lads fought back to reduce the scores with a well taken goal from Carl Courtney in the sixth min. Burnden started the second half with two quick goals 14th and 18th min by Farhad Khan to complete his hat-trick, a late goal from Sajid Khan 24th min gave the Rec no way back.

JC Engineering 0 Pickerings Lifts 3 -- goals from Warren Hewitt and Andy Cooper secured the points for Pickerings.
