CHILDREN got down to some serious Christmas decoration making in front of one of the most famous Christmas scenes in history.
The youngsters took part in a festive workshop at Bolton Museum and they got their inspiration from a masterpiece -- The Nativity -- a massive work of art by Rubens.
The painting is part of the Art Gallery's current exhibition, Rubens and his Workshop Engravers, which runs until January 6 and combines Yuletide scenes with fantastical and mythological creations.
There is another Christmas decoration workshop on Saturday from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Admission to the exhibition and accompanying workshops is free.
The decorations can be hung on the Museum Christmas tree or taken home.
