WITH reference to Jayne Neville's letter of December 6 stating that "vigilante drivers" who drive slowly down the outside lane of the roadworks on the A666, preventing other drivers from cutting in at the last possible moment, are "pathetic and childish".

May I ask what planet is this woman on? Did she learn to drive at the honky tonk school of motoring?

In her own words, she asks: "Just because they have to wait, why should she?" How ignorant can a person be?

Drivers who are doing what is asked of them and getting in the correct lane are getting nowhere due to drivers like the writer cutting in at the last minute and causing disruption behind them, lengthening the time spent in this daily nightmare.

My advice to the writer and other commuters like her is: Look further than your own front bumper. I spend many a hour daily travelling up and down motorways seeing drivers who take high risks and most of the time paying the price and causing havoc behind them.

Drivers like this are also of the opinion that it is perfectly normal to travel at 60mph in the middle lane of the motorway refusing to move over, causing untold misery to persons behind them and putting other drivers at risk.

So in the words of our Prime Minister and Chancellor during the fuel crisis: Shut up and queue up!
