CHORLEY will get a taste of the Last of the Summer Wine later this month with the opening of a new charity shop.

Actress Jean Alexander -- who plays Auntie Wainwright in the BBC's hit comedy series -- will open the RSPCA shop at 66 Market Street.

Jean, also famous for her role as Hilda Ogden in Coronation Street, will be at the store on Monday, November 13, at 11.30am.

But the shop will be open to receive donated goods from Monday, November 6, from 9.30am-4.30pm.

Money raised from will be used to help animals like Dinky, a blind mongrel dog left in a Leyland shed, who was recently rescued by the RSPCA.
