SO Conservative supporter Albert Hornby thinks that this Government is the worst ever does he?

This Government that has brought the first ever minimum wage, the Working Families Tax Credit for the less well off, the New Deal bringing hope for the unemployed, the lowest ever unemployment rate since the 70s, low inflation, low interest rates, the greatest increase in health and education spending ever, help for elderly people with their heating, to prevent the disgusting stories we used to get of pensioners freezing to death, too afraid to heat their homes and then being told by Edwina Currie to wear thermal underwear, and devolution for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Not to mention improved employment rights, £5 billion to improve our housing estates or massive reductions in burglaries and vehicle crime.

He naively believes that this Government is worse than the Thatcher Government, which cut pensions and child benefit, introduced the Poll Tax, squandered revenue from North Sea Oil, raised interest rates to 15pc, and stood by and watched as people realised they owed more on their mortgage than their house was worth.

Or the Major Government, with disgraced Jeffrey Archer who now faces prison, Jonathan Aitken who went to prison despite his "sword of truth", or those 'cash for questions' Tory MPs. Somehow, I don't think it is the Labour Government which is questionable here, but instead Mr Hornby's and the Conservative Party's logic.
