MR Gary Wheeler, from Moses Gate Welding Works Ltd , has been elected chairman of Bolton Business Environment Network Members' committee.
Mr Peter Callon from Peter Hunts Bakery Foods and Mr John Watson from Armadillo Industrial Safety are vice-chairmen.
Mr Wheeler said: "As a company which has made significant cost savings from its bottom line and gained new business by being environmentally aware, I am delighted to be taking on this role in supporting the BBEN team in their work."
BBEN Manager Anne Cletheroe said membership was now 39. She added: "I am delighted that BBEN is growing at a steady and sustainable rate.
"We have had interest from many companies in Bolton waking up to the concept that environmental sense is good business sense."
