RADCLIFFE Boro look to clinch a place in the FA Cup first round for the first time in the club's history tonight with a fourth qualifying round replay against Burscough.

The two drew 1-1 in the initial meeting on Saturday and it was the Unibond Premier Division outfit that came out of the encounter breathing a heavy sigh of relief to have a second bite of the cherry. Boro had by far the better of the game and only the woodwork and an inspired goalkeeping display from Burscough's John Bagnall prevented Kevin Glendon's men going through at the first time of asking.

If any more incentive were needed for such a big cup clash the first round prize on offer for the two is a home tie against Nationwide Division Three York. Boro have a fully fit squad going into the game and if the level of support which followed them over to Burscough is in evidence again at Stainton Park tonight it could provide that extra boost for Glendon's team. The game kicks off at 7.30pm. The Stainton Park number is 0161 724 8346. Goldline semi washed out ORGANISERS of the Goldline Trophy were disappointed in their bid to get the second semi final of the competition between Charnock Richard and Breightmet United played tonight at Darwen's Anchor Ground, kick off 7.30pm.

The game has been rescheduled to Thursday night at the same venue. The other team to appear in the November 13 Reebok Stadium Final is Tempest United who beat Atherton Town on Sunday. to clinch their place in the final. Colls on the road ATHERTON Colls travel to Salford City for a NWCL Division One fixture tonight with Chris O'Brien in sole charge of first team affairs for the first time since the resignation of Alan Lord last week.
