GREATER Manchester Police chiefs' crime fight has been given a high-tech helping hand.
Heywood Distribution Park and its owner Ropemaker Properties have donated two miniature palmtop Psion 5 organisers to the force.
The gadgets will allow officers 24-hour direct computerized access to all essential emergency procedures and their donation follows an appeal for sponsorship.
Brian Tisdall, portfolio manager at Ropemaker Properties, said: "The purchase of the two Palm Readers is a way of consolidating our links with the police and showing our appreciation for their support, while at the same time, contributing further to the fight against crime in the region."
