SAM Allardyce has played down the threat of Wanderers facing a fine for their late-arrival at West Brom on Saturday.
The team coach, held up in jams on the M6, arrived at the Hawthorns at 2.10 pm with the manager rushing to hand in the official team sheet.
But Wanderers had done all in their power to ensure they would be on time.
"I think we'll arrive as late as that every week," Allardyce joked after seeing his side record a 2-0 win.
"We set off in good time but got caught on the infamous M6. We had a police escort waiting for us at junction 10 but we were stuck way back on juntion 12. It took an awful long time to get through there.
"It brought us into the game a bit late but it was only 10 minutes so the ref might not want to report us."
