SHAKERS boss Andy Preece has given his troops a "must get better" warning after a 4-0 weekend hammering at Runcorn.
And when Bury step out at Stainton Park tonight to take on Radcliffe Borough, the squad know that the boss will not be happy with another defeat.
A disappointed Preece admitted his team were given a kick up the backside on Saturday by Runcorn, who scored two late goals to put an emphatic glossy finish on the victory.
It was the first proper run-out of the season for the Shakers and though they were far from full-strength -- fielding six trialists -- Preece was not pleased with the way his team played.
He said: "It wasn't how I wanted us to play and we will be working on changing that.
Tonight's match should be a fairer reflection on the Shaker's pre-season form as Preece takes his entire first team squad to Radcliffe.
