AFTER reading the story "Arena roof is the tops" in the BEN on Friday, July 7, with our leader, Cllr Bob Howarth, yet again taking centre stage, it struck me that the next time our "super cabinet councillors" meet in private, perhaps instead of trying to decide whose turn it is to have a photo call, maybe they should consider a more serious point, like moving the Town Hall brick by brick up to the Middlebrook complex.

After all, it is fast becoming the hub of Bolton, this is where all the new exciting developments in retailing and leisure are happening. It makes good economic and political sense to do so. There they would be on hand immediately to keep tabs on this expanding empire.

For us that are left struggling in the Town Centre, fed on a diet of empty promises, we could then pass away with some dignity, or, as it seems, we would be "out of sight out of mind ".
