A BOLTON mum touched by reading in the BEN of the plight of pregnant burglary victim Rebecca Feeney has come forward to give her new baby clothes.

Victoria Engmann was moved to donate the clothes after learning how sick thieves broke into seven-months pregnant Rebecca's rented home while she was out.

The burglars trashed the house on Tonge Moor Road and stole teddy bears, baby clothes, an intercom monitor, dummies, cot blankets, a breast pump and bottles with a steriliser.

But the tears of despair have turned to gratitude for Rebecca after the mum-of-three stepped in.

Mrs Engmann, of Longcauseway in Farnworth, said: "I know how expensive children can be. I was a one parent family and it was so hard but it must have been so much worse to have this done to you.

"Fortunately I have lots of baby clothes in neutral colours -- none of which have been used. I bought them before I had my baby daughter and then changed my mind and bought girl baby clothes instead."

The kind-hearted mum was so moved she has even bought extra baby equipment for Rebecca.

And a baby monitor and a cash gift has also been given to Rebecca after two more concerned readers read her plight in the Bolton Evening News.

Rebecca, aged 23, is still too traumatised to return to her house in Tonge Moor and is living with relatives.

She said: "I am so grateful to Mrs Engmann and the other people who have found it in their hearts to help me.

"It has been a difficult time but I am hoping to eventually put it behind me."

Her baby boy is expected in two months time and she intends to Christen him Theo Jerome.
