I AM trying to locate pupils from an asthmatic boarding school I attended in Seaford, East Sussex. It was called "Pilgrims" and survived in this form from 1955 to 1997.

I have found a Pilgrims School photograph taken in 1971 and I am trying to trace former pupils from the photograph and others who attended this school from all eras. At the moment, I have found 29 former staff and 152 former pupils of the 850 pupils that went to the school from 1955 to 1997.

All people whom I have found want me to go on and trace the others, and perhaps we could all meet up again and form an old boys/girls association and have a large reunion.

Pupils came from all over the UK as this was the only school of its type in Europe that catered for this complaint. We were sent to the school by the local authorities when, because of our health, we could cope no longer in mainstream schools.

I was at the school between 1969 to 1973, and before that at another asthma school for juniors at St Catherine's Home, Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight, run by Church of England nuns. This school, along with Meath School in Surrey, were the two feeder schools for Pilgrims.

I have about 250 photographs of Pilgrims, staff and pupils, if former members who attended the school could contact me.

We have also set up a website, http://uk.clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/pilgrimsschool. From this website you can link to four other Pilgrims sites. A small group of eight former pupils and five former staff had a mini-reunion at the school on May 27.
