DURING the late 1940s, until about 1970, Lancashire Education Committee ran two boarding schools for pupils who attended its secondary schools.
The girl's school was at Whiteacre, near Whalley, Lancashire, but the boy's school was at Horsley's Green, near Stokenchurch, Bucks.
Any old boys or teachers are asked to contact our new association as we are trying to collect an archive of names, photographs and memorabilia with the intention of organising an exhibition and a reunion.
If any of your readers know of any ex-pupils or masters we would be obliged if they could pass on this information to them.
