ON June 30, I was in Bolton for my granddaughter's 21st birthday party when I had an accident on a bus, which resulted in me being admitted to E3 ward via A&E at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
The NHS are continually criticised but, having had first hand experience, I can't praise the doctors, nurses and staff highly enough.
I am a retired orthopaedic nursing sister and I was very impressed by how much the service has moved forward into the new century with such a positive attitude and feeling. The Royal Bolton Hospital is something the people of Bolton should be proud of.
