THE search is on for memories of by-gone Bolton days for an arts project based in the town.

One hundred years in Worktown is a voluntary arts project about the working lives of local people during the 20th century.

The project is looking for memories about your first job, Monday morning blues, work mates, work-place romances, promotions, getting the sack and strikes. Stephen Fielding, writer in residence at Bolton Institute, is setting up a research and writing team from the local community.

He wants potential writers, researchers and theatre cast and crew to get involved with the project.

People can get involved in one or more of the three stages: research, script-development and stage productions.
