PEOPLE can step back in time on Sunday as history comes alive at historic Turton Tower.
The Meet the Tudors event is a popular fixture at the tower off Chapeltown Road, just north of Bromley Cross.
Visitors will get the chance to see how people really used to live in Lancashire 500 years ago at the medieval manor house.
Re-enactments will reveal how the use of battle armour gradually declined over the period and was replaced by gunpowder and muskets.
Also on show will be a fascinating look at everyday habits like table manners and etiquette, house building with wattle and daub and cooking.
The event starts in the grounds at 1pm and entry is free.
