AS an anorak follower of politics, I often find myself on the different political party web sites.

Just recently, I entered the Labour Party web site and, from an unbiased point of view, I would have to say that it is the best of the three main parties.

However, I am slightly sidetracking. What I really wrote to Your Views about is the fascinating concept the Labour Party has come up with.

So people can hear for themselves what the Tories' plans for the Health Service really mean, the Labour Party have put a tape of a speech by the Shadow Health Secretary, Liam Fox, on the their web site.

In his speech, Mr Fox makes it clear that "the Patients Guarantee is the silent revolution" and "What we're starting is perhaps a Trojan Horse for private medicine ...

"I think what we are proposing will revolutionise private health insurance in a way we revolutionised pensions in the 1980s."

What was fascinating was that the Tories were forced to admit that the speech Labour posted on its web site represented an "honest transcript". This policy would mean a Tory tax on the old. The web site also pointed out that the Tories want people to pay for hip replacements, which would hit pensioners hardest.

The cost of private medical insurance for an elderly couple is £67 to £87 a week. How would pensioners afford this?

In all the letters to the BEN in recent weeks, not one has dared to reveal the Tories' health plans and what else is hidden in their Trojan Horse.
