PLEASE could anyone help to rectify a problem with feral cats? Someone moved away from the area, leaving two cats. Now they have gone wild.
The RSPCA referred us to Cats Protection who, in turn, said they only really concern themselves with domestic cats. But if we catch them and have them neutered, they may help with the cost. We then sign a form to say we will be responsible for the vets bills and any cost for euthanasia.
At present, we must feed them twice a day and, when they are neutered, we must return them to the site where they live. As if! They come for the food and stay.
Last winter, one of the females gave birth to seven kittens on the step. We cared for her, kept her, found homes for the kittens and had her neutered.
The problem is, some people don't like cats and use cruel means to keep them off their property.
We do fear for all these creatures and would like some help and advice in this matter. At the last count, there were seven cats. One of the females is again in kitten.
Come on, animal lovers, please help. Most of the animals will go tame, like the lovely female cat we gave a home to. Any ideas, please write to the address below.
