TRAVEL company Just Flights Ltd has achieved the national Investors in People standard. Assessors were particularly impressed with the company's in-house induction and training programmes and its strong culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Just Flights, which is based in Newport Street, Bolton, is set to double its 20-strong workforce over the next 18 months. Turnover will soon reach £10 million and the number of passengers is rising to more than 50,000 annually.

Managing director Paul Lever said: "We are spreading our wings and currently looking at further expansion, which is why training and development are so important to us.

"The travel industry changes so quickly that our employees are constantly updating their product knowledge.

"As 90pc of our business is call-based our customers demand an immediate response and we have to be able to deliver that.

Becki Wilkinson, part of the Bolton and Bury Chamber Workforce Development team added: "To achieve Investors in People status in just three months is a remarkable achievement."
