HOT-SHOT Marcus Stewart claims Ipswich are in the mood to carry on where they left off at the Reebok when the play-off duel with Wanderers moves to Portman Road tonight. The striker George Burley signed for £2.5 million from Huddersfield in February reckons his double strike that snatched a draw from the jaws of first leg defeat has put the Suffolk club in pole position in the race to secure a Wembley place.

"Everything at the club is geared to Wembley and I see no reason to think we will not be going there for the play-off final," Stewart said confidently.

"We thought for a while we might have to settle for the play-offs so everything has been based around us getting there and winning the final.

"It's not a question of if we get to the final - the only talk among the players is about when we get there.

"Ipswich are geared up to success and I'm sure we will be in the Premiership next year. We deserve to be in the Premiership after the season we've had and we've got the desire and the will to win and make sure we get there." But with the confidence came a note of caution as Stewart looked back on his Reebok performance.

"I've never had a day like it," he admitted, "but the job is only half done. We need to finish it off tonight."
