WITH regard to the letter by Peter Johnston about us, 'free morning paper pushers' as he calls us. I would like to put the record straight.
I am employed by a reputable agency to distribute these papers to the general public of Greater Manchester, if people want to discard these papers and cause litter, that is their business, not ours.
This particular 'pest' has now been able to sign off at the Job Centre, even though it means rising at 3.40am to give me time to make the 55 minute walk from Bromley Cross to Trinity Street, to catch a train to get me into Manchester for the 5.45am start.
Would Cllr Johnston prefer me to stay in bed and start claiming Jobseekers Allowance again? Or maybe he could employ me to collect litter around Bolton, as in certain areas our Council are a disgrace.
David Lumb,
Smithy Croft,
Bromley Cross.
