PRESENTATIONS were made to two familiar faces who 'chalked up' their final appearances at Bolton schools recently.

Teacher, Annie Marshall, from St Maxentius School, Harwood, and dinner lady, Joyce Fletcher, from Clarendon Primary School, Bolton, were both in a class of their own according to pupils who waved them off.

Annie was retiring after 15 years at St Maxentius, and Joyce, from Little Lever, finished having completed more than 31 years at Clarendon school.

Staff, pupils, parents, governors and even former pupils came into St Maxentius school to wish Annie well.

She was presented with a travel voucher, flowers and dozens of other presents.

Joyce is pictured receiving her gifts from Jesh Asani, aged 11, and headteacher Wendy Holland.

She was presented with a number of gifts, including a cake, flowers, dressing gown and an electric blanket to keep off the winter chill.
