Why take Christ out of Christmas,

And call it Xmas Day;

Send Christmas cards with holly on,

Or Santa in his sleigh?

Just think of the reason for Christmas,

When you wake on Christmas morn.

For this is a very special day -

It's the day when Jesus was born.

Why take Christ out of Christmas,

When you sing of Bethlehem;

Of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

The Shepherds and the Wise Men?

Let's put Christ back in Christmas,

As we celebrate His birth,

With joy and love to all nations,

And a Christmas peace to all people on earth.
