CAN you tell me what Cliff Richard has done that is wrong? To combine two lovely songs in such a lovely way - Auld Lang Syne is a lovely tune of friendship and love, and lots of churches sing The Lord's Prayer in some kind of way - sounds lovely. And the Lord's Prayer has the meaning of love in prayer.
What's so wrong to combine the two loving things together? Both these have special meanings of love and care. People have love for both. It's nice to see so many young people taken with the song because it's lovely.
Old fashioned church religion hasdone me no harm in life - but old churches have to change their old-fashioned way by adopting some good, modern ways to get young people back again. The world changes as times goes on. We must not stay in the past.
