BURY midfielder Mark Patterson is a target for Third Division Southend United. Roots Hall boss Alvin Martin travelled to Bury to watch the 33-year-old, who he had on loan two years ago, play in yesterday's 1-0 reserve team victory over Hull City.
Bury would want a nominal fee for a player who is currently out of the first team and on the transfer list.
