I am writing to you regarding the euro. It seems to us and everybody we speak to that Britain and the economy are doing very well. People seem more confident, except for the worry of the euro currency being introduced.

It seems France's and Germany's economy is unstable and unemployment is very high compared to Britain.

It seems the millions being wasted on the euro would be far better spent on boosting British industry, health and education.

All around us British industry is falling apart. It would seem that the Prime Minister is more interested in Europe's economy than Great Britain's.

Looking back through history, we have fought through two world wars for what we believe, so that we still can be called 'British' and not European. This seems to have been completely forgotten.

After carrying out a small survey locally, we found that people were overwhelmingly against the euro currency and most are disgusted at the thought of sterling being taken from us and the fact that the Queen's head will no longer appear on our currency of which we are very proud.

We apologise if this letter seems abrupt, but we are proud to be British and think Britain should come out of Europe.

Whenever there're world problems ie more recent problems with Saddam Hussein, British and American troops and planes were there once again. Where were France and Germany? It does not seem right for the British economy to be basically run by Germany. I hope when you have read this letter you will think very carefully about the euro currency and what is happening around you.
