LOCAL companies are being invited to register their interest in "Export Explorer" missions to Belgium, Luxembourg and Iceland.
Two trips in May are part of a Government scheme designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises take their first tentative steps into export markets.
They are given the opportunity to go on low-cost "hand-holding" visits to tried and tested markets in Western Europe.
Markets
The visits - one to Belgium and Luxembourg and the other to Iceland - are part of a programme of Export Explorer visits announced by Trade Minister Brian Wilson earlier this year.
The programme takes in 17 different European export markets.
Trips are priced at £99 plus travel costs and include detailed help and back-up.
Both visits start on May 16 and further details are available from Gerard Horrocks on 01695 51999 (Brussels and Luxembourg) and Darden Coulthard on 01229 829309 (Iceland).
Other Export Explorer missions are planned for Denmark on May 30 (Andrew Mercer, 0161-236-3210) and Oslo in Norway on June 20 (Andrew Richardson on 01606 734200).
