LEGAL eagles at Bolton Council have been shortlisted for a national local government award. The Legal Services Division of Bolton Council has worked hard at preparing for compulsory competitive tendering and improving its service. They recently obtained the European Quality Standard ISO 9001.
The Legal Team of the Year award, sponsored by Risk Management Services, rewards high standards of service.
Other shortlisted legal teams include Barnet London Borough Council, Brighton & Hove Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Kent County Council and Sunderland City Council.
Looking forward to the award ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, London, on March 9, Councillor Bob Howarth, Leader of Bolton Council, said: "This is a tremendous achievement for the division in such a prestigious award."
