A STRIKE by bus drivers on Monday has been called off.

Bosses for Stagecoach Ribble met with Transport and General Workers Union representatives to hammer out a new pay deal.

But future industrial action has not been ruled out because drivers are still to be balloted on Tuesday over the deal.

Drivers have held three separate days of action during the past few weeks causing widespread disruption across routes in Bolton and the North-west.

Managers for Preston-based Stagecoach Ribble stress Monday services will now operate as normal.
