ON behalf of The Cancer Research Campaign in Turton, may I thank everyone who supported the Annual Fancy Dress Three Legged Race last Sunday afternoon - 95 couples took part and £1,300.77 was raised within the village of Edgworth that day.
Laughter and many kindnesses were shown but particularly by the landlords, restaurateur and the cricket club in the village for their very good humour.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in December 1999, for the last Race of the Century.
