footpaths COUNCILLOR Howarth ("Mucky Movies"- BEN: December 18) might like to know that I reported to the Town Hall the state of the footpaths leading to the Virgin Complex when it was still under construction, requesting that they be upgraded to facilitate access from the Tonge Moor area in time for use on the opening night.
Did the relevant offices not consider my suggestion worthy of pursuing?
Or does it take high-profile observers and press publicity before the idea is taken seriously?
