DIY disasters have been a running joke for a long time, as Brian Iddon MP points out.
But they are potentially lethal and should be taken seriously. So we welcome the new government initiative to cut down on DIY accidents and the DTI leaflet which gives advice on how to avoid accidents and be safe with DIY. The leaflet will be available in DIY stores and high street shops and we commend it to BEN readers.
